"A Brief Glimpse"

"A Brief Glimpse"

Another one of those mornings when it just wasn't looking too promising as I was driving up to Bamburgh. On this particular October morning, it was raining heavily and there didn't seem to be much hope of any decent light.
However, and as is often the case, things improved as I set up the equipment and just for a brief moment, the sun became visible as it clambered over the horizon to the east.
This is a shot i will return to again some time as i would like to capture the waves cascading over the ledge on Harkness Rocks but for the mea time, I'm just happy that I continued that journey on that morning and was able to make this photograph.

Shot Detail: Canon EOS 1D MKIV camera, 17-40mm f4 lens, Lee 0.6 GNDH + 0.3 GNDS filters.
