All photographers have their own favourite locations, places that they will visit often whether it be during the day or at night. This is one such place that I will return to when I feel that the conditions might be favourable to make a decent photograph or two.

I love this group of rocks, they are all now good friends of mine and I will often visit them to make sure that they are ok! They make great foreground interest in my opinion and at high tide, and as the waves crash in on a north-easterly wind, the water flows and overflows from the various ledges and boulders that lie there.
I had great trouble making this shot as the spray was immense and it was very much a case of sheltering all the equipment with
various lens protectors (cloths and bounce cards) and timing their removal to coincide with a breaking wave.
To have great light and some atmosheric clouds above was a real bonus and whilst the Lee Filters that I was using to hold back the sky are evident in the breaking waves to the left, all in all I was pleased to make this photo from a favourite spot on the wonderful North East coast.
