"Moody St. Mary's"

"Moody St. Mary's"

It’s the end of June and so far, the North East of England has never seen such a wet summer!
One small positive to weather such as this from a photographer’s point of view, are the moody skies that can follow and this is one such evening at St. Mary’s Island, Whitley Bay.

I love to explore at St. Mary’s and whilst my own personal favourite viewpoint is from the West, there
are some magnificent rocks structures and views to be had from the other side.
A brief moment of sun before it descended over the horizon, ‘kissed’ the lighthouse and cottages whilst the stormy skies above gathered for yet another impending torrential downpour.
