Serenity

A beautifully calm late September evening, the temperature was 22 degrees and there is not a breath of wind in the air. What better place to spend such an evening than Crag Lough as the last rays of sunshine disappear over the horizon and the lonely cloud starts to evaporate in the sky?
It is perhaps sometimes difficult to explain to people what is so alluring about landscape photography, and in my opinion it is similar to fishing; sometimes you will not even get a bite but it is always just such a pleasure being out there and doing something that you really love to do.

Shot Detail: Canon 1D MKIV, 17-40mm f4 lens, ISO 50, f11 and a 0.6 second exposure. Lee 0.9GNDS + 0.3 GNDH + 0.6 GNDH reversed.
