Whilst I am not too sure that the farmers would agree, but there is something quite alluring about seeing a field of crops with wild poppies growing and adding a splash of colour to the countryside.
On this particular day, I had noticed this field whilst I was on my way to Haltwhistle and couldn't resist calling in to make a photograph on my way back.
With the sun at 90 degrees to the right of camera, i used a circular polariser to accentuate the beautiful fluffy clouds.
