As a photographer, interpreting a scene and how you would like the finished photograph to look is all part of both the challenge and the enjoyment in my opinion.
As I was driving along Forest Drive in Kielder Forest, I noticed how the light was changing and I just knew that this location at Kielder Water would be a great location for a long exposure.
The long exposure has merged some of the beautiful pastel shades and flattened the ripples on the surface of the water giving to me, a very calming and mellow look to the whole scene.

Shot Detail: Canon EOS 1D MKIV Camera, 17-40mm f4 lens. Lee Big Stopper + 0.9 GNDH filters.
