As you often do as a photographer, I spent some considerable time driving around one evening recently trying to decide what was happening with the light and also where I was heading! With no definite plan, I decided eventually to head over to Dunstanburgh as there is a specific shot that I want to make at some stage up in this iconic and most magnificent location on the beautiful Northumberland Coast. The light was gently 'kissing' Dunstanburgh Castle as the sun descended swiftly to the west so it was a case of abandoning all hope of getting down to "death rocks" (as they are affectionately known) and set up in the dunes bordering Dunstanburgh Golf Course. The wind was light and gentle, however it moved the grasses in the foreground nicely adding something extra to the shot. I always enjoy spending a little time "tinkering" in Photoshop and with a few presses of a button or two, this is the version I liked.
