"Our Special Place"

"Our Special Place"

Underestimate these "death rocks" at Dunstanburgh Castle at your peril! They are probably the most slippery rocks you will ever encounter and I can only imagine how many photographers have come-a-cropper at some stage here. The secret to staying upright in my opinion, is to wedge your feet in between them as best as you can and don't stand directly on the wet ones!
This photograph was made on a beautiful October morning when the sun was just about to rise above the horizon. Moments like these make all the travelling and early rises so worthwhile as a photographer and yes, I did get soaked making this photograph!

Shot Detail: Canon 1D MKIV camera, f16, 1.3 secs, ISO 50. Lee filters.
