This location in Tynemouth is very well protected on a windy day due to the large sea defences below Tynemouth Priory. The last light of day reflects off the lighthouse on the North Pier as the clouds and sky start to take on a pastel appearance. Holding back the light with a Singh Ray filter, softens the waves giving a calm appearance on an otherwise cool and very blustery February evening.
Shot Detail: Canon 7D, 17-40mm f4 lens, ISO 100, f16 aperture and a 20 second exposure time. Lee 0.9 GNDS + Singh Ray Vari ND Duo filters.
